On the 18th and 19th February 2014 the closing session of the associated European partners from the EU research project PSYCHE took place in Brussels. MEYTEC has developed for medical experts a special telemedicine portal with an integrated database for recording and evaluating of data for patients with bipolar disorders. During trials patients transferred their emotional condition to the telemedicine portal via a smartphone App daily. The scope of vital data measured by wearable computing integrated into garments can also be sent to the telemedicine portal. The participating physicians gathered important information from the database by using mathematical models to determine if different medication was needed.
MEYTEC will commercialize the complete solution under the name VIMED® EMOTION. Furthermore the telemedicine portal can also be customized for other medical research projects to show additional benefits to the user.
